When it comes to session times, there are two great options: early morning or right at sunset. For this session, Caitlyn + Josh and I opted for the early morning hours which started my day off right, I tell you! Nothing puts a smile on my face faster than seeing the genuine smiles on my couples’ own faces as we document their love for each other.

Caitlyn and Josh are the kindest, sweetest couple. She studied Art History at BYU and he’s been studying Communications with the goal of becoming a sports broadcaster. So when you see him on TV, that means I’m basically famous adjacent!

Caitlyn loves all things classy and elegant which was easy to see with the bridal attire she picked out and through the sparkle of her jewelry. Josh, on the other hand, is of a more stoic nature, loving all things athletic and sports-related.

I was actually able to create Caitlyn’s florals for this shoot, and I had such a blast doing it! She requested something light and feminine, and I think together we nailed it.

On their client questionnaire, I asked the couple a few questions to get to know them better. Their responses were so cute I thought I’d share a few!

• Caitlyn claims she is best known for her hanger problems (aren’t we all!), followed closely by her incredibly neat handwriting.

• Josh is known for big bear hugs and his complete love of sports!

• The two have a special start to their love story that shows how the stars align to help lovebirds find each other. They met through the dating app Mutual and as a result of this match/connection, they had a blast on the first date and just kept dating! And now they’ll never have to stop.
