Claire + Josh Engagements | Downtown Salt Lake City
Don't you just love when everything unfolds exactly the way you hoped it would!? That is how this engagement session went with Claire and Josh. These two are definitely an ideal couple! Their 5 year relationship has blossomed from friends to fiances and their excitement for the future was palpable! I could tell they had quite the foundation of friendship as they joked and laughed together. We had a blast during the session walking around downtown and exploring a wide variety of photo locations! They were up for anything and it was nice to be able to discover fun locations each step of the way.
In my opinion, downtown and city locations are perfect for those awkward months when it isn’t winter and it isn’t spring. I usually have a handful of couples contact me during this time without location ideas because of the weather. Personally, I love when that happens! I enjoy finding new and different locations for my clients and just like this session, sometimes we discover the best locations together!
As for Claire and Josh, they were pro's! I hardly get grooms who are comfortable in front of the camera. Josh on the other hand was a champ!! All of his experience playing college basketball at Dixie State must have given him practice in front of cameras and crowds because he was a natural. Claire is a former dancer and I could totally tell by how graceful and confident she is! They are a great match and their chemistry made them stand out against any background we encountered. The weather even held out for us and we were able to snag the last few minutes of sunset on the top of the Harmon’s Parking Garage in Salt Lake City! It was an absolutely beautiful place to end such a great session.
