Mardi + Ashley Engagements
Say hello to this gorgeous couple, Mardi + Ashley! This wasn't the first time I met the handsome groom-to-be, as I knew Mardi from my college days. He lived in the same apartment complex as my (future) husband and I knew him when I was dating and engaged to Jacob. Fast forward a few years and now I get to photograph Mardi’s wedding to sweet Ashley!
Mardi + Ashley love to go on walks, try new foods together, enjoy beautiful nature, travel, and just spend time with each other. On their most memorable date, they stayed up till 3 am just talking and joking around. Those summer nights they spent falling in love were amazing. They are most looking forward to camping, more traveling, living together, having pets, doing more outdoor activities, cooking delicious meals together, and spending the rest of their lives with each other!
On the day of the proposal, Mardi made Ashley a delicious lunch, the first of many meals he'd cook for her, and probably one of her favorites to this day. They went on a walk in the same place they went on their very first walk when they began dating. The walk led to the bridge where they shared their first kiss, which also became the place where they shared a sweet and sentimental proposal. I love how much thought he put into this proposal, full of sentimental moments that signified their beautiful relationship together.
Their charcuterie board was such a fun addition and really portrayed their love of all things food and eating together. Their wedding will be at Shade Home and Garden, a greenhouse venue in Orem. Their session was at my favorite secret spot in SLC, a park with gorgeous mountain views and open meadows. We had perfectly lovely summer weather, which in addition to the charcuterie board and gorgeous location, helped in making this one of my favorite engagement shoots to date.
