Mardi + Ashley Wedding | Shade Home and Garden in Orem, Utah

This gorgeous couple is Ashley and Mardi! They were married on a drizzly day at the Shade and Home Garden Center in Orem, Utah. Rain can often complicate a wedding, but we were so lucky that it didn’t ruin Ashley and Mardi’s big day. The clouds provided us with great light in the greenhouse area of the garden center used for their wedding ceremony. We did have to duck back inside a few times to avoid raindrops, but I snuck the happy couple outside for a few husband and wife photos during a brief rain break.

Ashley and Mardi love, love, LOVE food! They made food such an important part of their wedding day and I absolutely loved it. Mardi is a major foodie and a fantastic cook. You might remember their charcuterie picnic engagement session that I featured a while back! They decided to honor their joint love of food by having catered custom pizzas and Penguin Brothers ice cream sandwiches at the reception. I am all about a reception with delicious food!

This couple is so much fun! Ashley is hilarious and is the life of the party. I love asking my couples about their most memorable dates together, and they both said they have too many to keep track of because every date is fun (*swoon*). But one of their favorites was a night they stayed up until 3 am just laughing and chatting and completely losing track of time. I love that they were and are so completely obsessed with one another.

You’ll see a picture in this gallery of Mardi wheeling Ashley into the wedding reception in an old-fashioned wheelbarrow. That’s a family tradition and it was one of the highlights of the day. I love when my couples completely personalize their wedding day and do something out of the box. It was a great way to kick off their night of eating, dancing, and laughing.

I loved being able to work with Ashley and Mardi again after their engagement photos. They are so fun and down-to-earth and made my job so easy. I wish you two lovebirds all the best!

xoxo
