Melissa + Ethan Formals | Tibble Fork Reservoir, American Fork Canyon, Utah

This gorgeous formals shoot with Melissa and Ethan took place up American Fork canyon at the Tibble Fork reservoir. I love this gem of a location in Utah County with its rugged mountains, endless pine trees, and beautiful lake with a picturesque dock. Now add an amazing couple to all that and you'll get the perfect photographs!

It was raining right as we started our session and we got so nervous, but thankfully, right after we started, the clouds and storm blew away and we had gorgeous sun the rest of the session. Their wedding will be at the Payson Temple with a reception at the State House venue in Orem.

We headed to the temple for the second location and the gates were locked when we first arrived at the temple which made us worried and confused (I am always very on top of shooting at locations and had called ahead and they said one would be open). After 10 minutes of walking around, however, a car pulled out of the parking lot and we were able to slip inside the gates. Such a tender mercy. Their session was meant to be at the temple!

Melissa says she loves Ethan's passion, his desire to learn, and his ability to make her feel like the most special person in the world. Ethan loves that Melissa is down-to-earth, humble, smart, listens to engineering explanations.

They love to cook together, watch movies, spend time with their families and snuggle (aw!). They look forward to not having to say good night, not having to spend all of their free time wedding planning, and hopefully doing a better job of being active together once they are married. They are especially so excited to be able to finally go back to the temple and be sealed for time and all eternity to each other.

This adorable couple was so fun to shoot. I loved doing the dual locations of a beautiful outdoor location and then also having timeless temple shots. I see nothing but happiness and lots of snuggling in their future!

xoxo
