My Top 5 Favorite Salt Lake City Area Photo Locations
Salt Lake City and its surrounding areas have some of the most beautiful and diverse places ever. It offers so many varied landscapes from lakes to mountains to cities, giving so many amazing options for photographers to have the most incredible photoshoots.
Here are my top 5 Salt Lake City area photo locations:
Silver Lake
-1 hour north of Provo • 45 minutes east of Salt Lake City
-Sunrise and sunset times are one to two hours sooner than your weather app.
-Nestled at the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon, Silver Lake has mountain views, a lake, open fields, and a forest of thick trees.
-Closed in the winter, this location is gorgeous in the summer and especially stunning in the fall.Downtown
-Downtown Salt Lake City • 1 hour north of Provo
-Sunrise and sunset times are one to two hours sooner than your weather app.
-One of my favorites of the endless location options is the rooftop of the Harmons building. There is also the City Creek Mall, Joseph Smith Memorial Building, and Temple Square, just to name a few!The Capitol Building
-Downtown Salt Lake City • 1 hour north of Provo

-One of my absolute favorite spots, the capitol building never disappoints! It’s perfect for any season and a great backup location if the weather turns for the worse. Plus, just look at that gorgeous staircase inside!Monson Center
-Downtown Salt Lake City • 1 hour north of Provo

-This classy location is great for photos all year long! The building is used from 9 to 5 so parking is easiest to find before and after working hours.Garden Ward Park
-South SLC 45 min north of Provo
-Sunrise and sunset times are accurate with your weather app.
-A hidden gem in Salt Lake with a pretty pond and garden on the property of an LDS church with a bridge, pond, trees, + gorgeous architecture.
-Best in the summer and fall.
