Olivia + Tade Formals
Don’t these two look so happy?
It was such a joy photographing them for the third time! Say hello, again, to Olivia and Tade. Olivia is a first grade teacher and Tade is studying Zoology at Weber State. Olivia says she fell for Tade because he was so easy to talk to about anything, is fiercely loyal, and was open to trying new things. Tade loves Olivia because she is honest, views the world the same, and is intensely passionate.
They met at work and were intrigued with one another right away. Olivia says he was this mysterious, shy, brooding guy, while she is loud, energetic, and sassy. Two months after they met, he finally asked for her number from one of their co-workers and they started texting. After another couple of weeks, he finally asked her out. Their first date lasted 8 hours because they just felt so natural and comfortable with each other--they just kept talking and talking.
Their most memorable date is when during the date they thought Tade’s car got stolen. Turns out his car just got towed, but it cost almost $300 to get back!
I shot this beautiful couples’ proposal back in February, then their engagements in April, and now finally their formals and wedding this summer. They were such a fantastic COVID couple because they were super flexible on dates and the reception plan. As long as they were getting married, that is all that mattered to them. Their first look was one of the sweetest ones I’ve ever seen. He was sooo enamored by how she looked and kept saying she looked like a princess. We actually joked that Olivia has a Disney princess smile, so that compliment fit very well for her.
After the first look portraits at one of my favorite hidden locations in Salt Lake City, we drove up Big Cottonwood Canyon to Jordan Pines campground to finish their session. It has the most gorgeous mountain views and Olivia was such a trooper, trekking around everywhere in high heels. Tade was such a gentleman and always offered to carry her bouquet for her.
You picked a good one, Olivia! Thanks for letting me photograph you a third time. It’s always such a pleasure!
