Paul and Brielle Anniversary | Utah State Capitol
I am so excited to share another session with Paul and Brielle! We got together at the Utah State Capitol Building this spring for an anniversary session under the cherry blossom trees. They made the drive down from Idaho and we met up on a gorgeous spring morning.
In April 2020 I was able to photograph Paul and Brielle’s stunning Tri-Cities, Washington wedding. They had to adjust their plans so many times due to COVID but were such troopers. After learning that all temples near them would be closing due to the pandemic, they got married in an intimate, outdoor town hall ceremony. It definitely wasn’t the ceremony they had originally planned for but they were just happy to get married! A few months after their nuptials they had a beautiful outdoor reception in Brielle’s hometown of Kennewick, Washington. Brielle’s mom is actually a photographer herself (and so talented!) so I was honored that I got to capture her wedding day.
Flash forward to April 2021 and I once again met this cute couple for an outdoor photo session! If you’ve never seen the Utah State Capitol grounds during the first few weeks of spring, you MUST check it out sometime. The grounds are full of gorgeous cherry trees and the blossoms are so beautiful. This is a super popular Salt Lake City photography spot during the spring though, so be prepared for crowds. I often as my springtime clients to meet me there early in the morning so we can avoid running into too many other groups of people.
I’m so grateful that Paul and Brielle made the trip down from their home in Idaho to meet me for this session! I love when past wedding clients return to me year after year for anniversary sessions. It’s such an honor to be trusted to capture people’s important memories and family changes. Getting to be involved in my clients’ lives post-wedding is just one of my favorite things about this job!
