Savannah + Devin Collins Family | Big Cottonwood Canyon, Utah
I had a chance to do a winter family session for a fellow photographer! It’s been so fun getting to know Savannah and Devin over the years and shoot together. It’s a huge blessing to have a community of photography friends!
In college, Savannah studied German education and Devin majored in videography. They now have a daughter, cute little Izzy, and do photography/video weddings together on the weekends! You can check out their website here.
Savannah really wanted snowy family photos so we went to Jordan Pines Campground up Big Cottonwood Canyon. I’ve been to Jordan Pines Campground countless times in the winter but I have NEVER seen the snow so high. It was crazy!!! Plus the snow was super fresh, so there weren’t any packed down trails. We had to trail blaze our own! Little Izzy was such a trooper, no matter how much she cried, it was still a great family experience and put my shooting skills to the test! We were able to be super speedy, photograph in the only snow flattened spot, and miraculously stay warm in the waist high snow. Snowy family photos for the win!
