Scotty + Curtis Formals | Provo City Center Temple

I’m so excited to share Scotty and Curtis’ formals! Check out their engagement session here.

Many of my formal bridal photo sessions are split between two locations. But Scotty and Curtis knew exactly where they wanted all their photos — at the temple where they would be married! It was so sweet to be at their wedding venue for the duration of these very special photos.

My favorite thing about this session is how obviously in love these two are! They were able to put the chaos of life aside and just focus on one another during their formal session. Even in the midst of midterms, these two giggled and smiled together like nothing else in the world existed. It can be really hard to plan a wedding while you’re also trying to be a good college student (trust me, I did it myself!) but Scotty and Curtis were so focused on being fully in the moment.

We took these photos on surprisingly warm November evening, and had the temple grounds completely to ourselves! I always recommend couples sessions for a weekday night to avoid the crowds. These formals were just another example of how a weekday photo session can really pay off!

Another fun part of this shoot is that I was with Scotty when she picked out her wedding dress! We have been friends forever, so my mom and I were invited along with her family when it came time to find the perfect dress. She fell in love with this dress at the first store we went to and, in my opinion, it suits her perfectly! It was so fun to see it again a few months later as we took these photos.

Thanks again to Scotty and Curtis for trusting me with your special formal photos! It’s such a treat for me to be part of your new life together.
