Six Ways to Shower Your Best Man/Maid of Honor with Love

Your Best Man and Maid of Honor hold pretty important titles as far as wedding-lingo goes. Whether it’s your sibling, cousin, or childhood best friend, a Best Man and Maid of Honor are people that have always been there for you. And to invite them to witness your big day is no small thing. In this blog post, I have compiled six ways to can shower the important members of your wedding party with love.

Bring them to your cake tasting

Involving your Best Man and Maid of Honor in the wedding planning process is one of the best ways to show love to them! Bringing special members of your wedding party to your cake tasting is a perfect place to start. However, when it comes to involving outside opinions (even from those you love) my best tip is to go with your gut! You can still choose the cake you want even if your maid of honor doesn’t love it.

Invite Bridesmaids to Dress Fitting

It’s no secret: finding your perfect wedding dress is an unforgettable experience for you. It can also be a memorable bonding moment for you and your maid of honor! It’s the perfect time for her to show support for you… and you may want her opinion! Don’t plan on bringing a crowd of people, but inviting your best friend and/or mom to see a sneak peek of your wedding dress is a really great way to show your love and involve them in the process.

Give them a personalized gift

One of the best ways to shower your Best Man or Maid of Honor with love is to give them a personalized gift. This can be anything from a matching tie or lapel pin to a custom necklace. It can be store-bought or homemade; the key is to think of something that is personal to them. After all, they are special members of your wedding party! As their close friend, you won’t have to think very hard to come up with something that will be meaningful to them.

Plan a bachelor/bachelorette party

Traditionally, the maid of honor or the best man is responsible for planning the bachelor/bachelorette party. If your maid of honor wants to take the reins and go to work organizing a pre-wedding event for you, let her! Maybe you’re more of a party-planner than your best man. That’s totally okay too! It’s your big day, but sometimes the best way to show your appreciation for someone is to just let their talents shine, whether that’s in the spotlight or behind-the-scenes.

Get individual pictures with them

A really wonderful way to make sure your wedding party feels your love and support is to get individual pictures with them! Group pictures are important to have, but a one on one shot with your best man or maid of honor will be something that you’ll always treasure. Communicate some ideas with your photographer and maybe you can brainstorm a unique pose or location to memorialize your relationship in a photo.

Let them prepare a toast or speech

If your maid of honor loves to be in the spotlight, giving a short speech at your wedding might be the best gift you could give her. A wedding speech from an honored member of the wedding party has traditionally been a really special way to support the couple. So if you and your fiancé are on the same page, then give your best man or maid of honor the go-ahead to say something meaningful about you on your big day.

I hope these are helpful to you! What are some other ideas we should add to this list?

xoxo
