Tessa + Scott Engagement Session
Meet Tessa and Scott! We took their engagement photos at both the American Fork Amphitheater and up by Tibble Fork Reservoir in American Fork Canyon. It was a pretty chilly day, but we majorly lucked out with the weather. There wasn’t much wind, which made walking around in the snow so much more enjoyable. As a couple, Tessa and Scott love spending time outdoors, so I’m glad we were able to capture their photos the way they wanted!
I love getting to know how my couples met and fell in love, and Tessa and Scott’s story is so cute. Tessa served as an LDS missionary in Norway, and while there, she became friends with Scott’s younger brother! When Tessa got home in the fall of 2019, she would occasionally email Scott’s brother to see how his mission was going. In one of his replies, he suggested Tessa should go on a date with his brother. Tessa thought he was joking…until she got a message from Scott! They went on a few casual dates before becoming exclusive and dated for a little over a year before Scott popped the question.
Scott proposed to Tessa on a fishing trip at Deer Creek Reservoir. He set up a Cafe Rio picnic for them on the banks of the lake and set up their poles. Little did Tessa know that he had a ring (not her official engagement ring, just a simple band) tied to the end of his fishing line. A few minutes after they both cast their lines, Scott asked Tessa to reel in the pole with the ring on it. As she turned to ask him why a ring was on the pole instead of bait he was kneeling to ask her to marry him. That story is so cute and perfectly them.
On their drive between photo locations, Scott got an email letting him know he had been accepted to medical school! It’s so fun that not only do their engagement photos celebrate their love but also the day all of Scott’s hard work paid off.
I’m so excited for them to finally get married in May. They’re a darling couple and I know their life together will be so happy.
