Velisity and Hunter are SOOOOO fun! I loved shooting bridals with this couple! We did the session at Silver Lake up Big Cottonwood Canyon in Salt Lake City, Utah. These two were happy, giggly, and so excited and in love the entire time. Luckily, they’re brave too, because it was pretty cold, but they stuck it out and we had the best time together.
Want to hear the most incredible tidbit about this bride? Her mom made her wedding dress! It’s absolutely stunning! There are so many intricate details with the lace and beading — it’s totally nuts. I was blown away by how beautiful it was, and what a special treasure.
Velisity and Hunter met through mutual friends at a bonfire. They stayed in touch after that night and went on a group trip with that same group of friends to Zion National Park a few weeks later which is where they really got to know each other.
Their proposal story is the sweetest. Hunter showed up on Velisity’s front door, with a dozen roses, dressed in a tux. He got down on one knee, professed his love, and asked her to marry him. Obviously, she said yes! But a little behind-the-scenes about this moment — Velisity actually knew what was going on before Hunter showed up because she accidentally found him on Find My Friends. She quickly painted the nails on her left hand before he showed up to her door. So darling!
