Brandon + Angela | Spring Engagements at Antelope Island

Angela and Brandon are a dream couple to work with. I knew from our initial phone call that Angela and I would be friends! She loves books, hiking, Jane Austen, has a classy style, and is completely in love. Brandon is getting his MBA at UVA right now and is such a kind, service-oriented person. Angela loves the way that he is always looking for ways to make her life easier. It’s been so much fun working with her to photograph this exciting time in their lives!

These two love traveling together, walking, and hosting friends for dinner. Wedding planning isn’t for everyone, but Angela and Brandon actually love to plan! In marriage, they are looking forward to just having a partner. For their engagement shoot, these two wanted a beautiful, springy outdoor location.

We went back and forth for ages trying to find a green location for Angela and Brandon. Usually, we’d be able to find plenty of green in mid-April, but that wasn’t the case this year! In fact, it snowed just a few days before our session. We ended up at Antelope Island off the Great Salt Lake, where there was green grass and even some yellow wildflowers! We met at Antelope Island and went on a little hike to reach our first location at Buffalo Point. The views were beautiful, and thankfully, it wasn’t too cold or windy. Then we finished the session at the Ladyfinger Campground area. Thankfully, it was too cold for any bugs or gnats, so we were happy.

I love finding clients who become instant friends. Being a photographer allows me to stay in touch and be there for all of the big moments in my clients’ lives. From weddings to graduations to future family shoots, the need for a good photographer never ends. I cannot wait to keep working with Angela and Brandon and cheering them on through future chapters of their lives together!
