Stunning Lakeside Wedding at Lake Tahoe | West Shore Cafe

Oh my goodness, guys. I recently had the amazing opportunity to team up with a fellow Utah photographer, Alyssia B Photography, to help her photograph the most amazing wedding. We teamed up to shoot a lakefront wedding on the West side of Lake Tahoe at West Shore Cafe, and I can only describe the day as stunning!

Bride Jen and groom Cam met in a business class during their sophomore year of college. Jen knew what she liked:

  • Tall

  • Blonde

  • Blue-eyed

While Cam only met the “tall” requirement, Jen decided to take a chance on him! The two started dating and got engaged. They have had to postpone their wedding for two and a half years due to covid. This day has been a long time coming! Jen and Cam have an adorable fur baby dog together who was a part of their wedding. Jen loves traveling all over the world! Cam doesn’t love fitting his 6 foot plus frame into airplanes, but he does love Jen and is always glad when they finally make it to where they’re going. Having their wedding on the shore of McKinney Bay, CA was the perfect destination for these two.

We started the weekend with a couples session and rehearsal dinner. Before we knew it, it was wedding day! While the girls were upstairs getting ready, all of the men in the bridal party took the groom on a gorgeous chartered Grand-Craft commuter boat for some quality male bonding on the water. Let’s be real, I totally wanted to join them because the lake was gorgeous!

After the sweetest first look where Cam got emotional and Jen was radiant, we took romantic couples photos and even went out onto the boat for some pictures on the water. When it was time for the ceremony, Came came in from off the boat and Jen walked down the aisle with her father. Their sweet “dog child” even made a trip down the aisle and got to watch the ceremony front and center.

We took fun family and bridal party photos, then Jen changed into dress number two and we snuck away for a few sunset photos out on the dock. The sunset that day was a gorgeous, soft shade of pink over the water. Everyone moved out to the West Shore Cafe dock for speeches and the first dance with the sound of waves lapping on the shore in the background. After the sweet parent dances, the party got started! This group of friends and family had so much energy! Everyone was jumping, singing, and even the parents and grandparents were showing off their skills. They were all so much fun to be around!

Jen and Cam did their cake cutting and a streamer exit and then headed to Mexico for their honeymoon, leaving me and the rest of the photo/video teams to drool over all of the gorgeous moments from their day. Huge thank you to Alyssia for inviting me along to celebrate Jen and Cam at this gorgeous Lake Tahoe wedding!
